Irish animation is set for the spotlight at the upcoming Animaze: Montreal International Animation Film Festival, which takes place in the Canadian city from August 18th to 21st.
The city will host the international film festival and conference exploring the world of animation in all its diversity, which will feature filmmakers from over 65 countries. The four day festival celebrates animation with screenings of over 120 films at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, including the Animaze Industry Conference exhibition hall, panels and speakers and networking opportunities.
The Irish spotlight is curated by Cashell Horgan, and will showcase just a small sample of the finest animated shorts being produced in Ireland over the past two years, reflecting the diverse story telling and styles of current Irish filmmakers in animation.
